本片以一位粗俗的賣花女，被鍾年教授調教成遊走於上流社會的大家閨秀，不論舊題材或角色的異動，本片簡直就是《麻雀變鳳凰》的前身。《小婦人》的導演喬治庫克以此片奪得了生平唯一的奧斯卡最佳導演獎，此外本片亦獲得「最佳影片」、「最佳男主角」等八項大獎，其中一直擔任歌舞片音樂指導的Andre Previn，也獲得「最佳配樂」獎項。在經過32年後本片重新發行，除保留原始的專輯外，收錄不少以往從未發行過的作品，包括最受歡迎的”Woundn’t It Be Lovely”、”The Rain In Spain”等曲外，首次發表的”The Embassy Walts”、”Just You Wait”和”End Title”等曲亦讓人重遊麻雀變鳳凰的夢境，並隨著浪漫旋律編織出另一種截然不同的精神享受。

My Fair Lady is a 1964 American musical drama film adapted from the 1956 Lerner and Loewe stage musical that was based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 stage play Pygmalion. It stars Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle, a Cockey working-class girl whom phonetics professor Rex Harrison (played by Henry Higgins) attempts to transform into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society. The film became an instant classic, winning 8 Academy Awards and achieving commercial successes well. This soundtrack features all the songs from the film, plus 11 bonus tracks. It is released as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on transparent purple swirled vinyl.
